Frugal Things I Did Last Week

I really work hard to make choices that use what we have and if we spend money, use that money wisely.  Here are some frugal choices I made last week.

I bought 40 hamburger patties for 75% off.

I made baba ganoush with eggplant from the garden.

We began a carpool to get Miss Petrie to school.

We took advantage of the free after school enrichment classes for Miss Petrie (African dance, modern dance and Aikido).

I donated two large boxes of craft supplies to Miss Petrie’s teacher from my moms club.  She was quite grateful.

We pulled out dying plants from three of the vegetable boxes and planted fall veggies (radishes, carrots, onions and snow peas).  We had the seeds and just needed to clean up the boxes to plant them.

I went to Savers thrift store with a friend and got some gorgeous black leather shoes.  At $6.99 for shoes with no signs of wear, I knew they were a great deal.  When I got home I checked them out on the web and found that they were originally $139.

I made pesto with our garden basil.  We used some and froze the rest for later use.

I bought highly discounted bread (50%-75% off) at the bakery outlet.

I resumed taking Miss PD to baby dance class at the community center.  The classes are so much fun and only $5.

Did you have any frugal fun this past week?

Frugal or not, less is the new more. Lucky cuties to have a mom that makes ends meet in such a spendid and loving way.
