Frugal Things I Did This Week
I really work hard to make choices that use what we have and if we spend money, use that money wisely. Here are some frugal choices I made last week.
I shopped for groceries at 3 places to stretch our budget: the sales at the regular grocery store, the produce market and the bakery outlet. It’s not as convenient as shopping at one place, but our two fridges and cabinets are full!
I used a Groupon for a jumping place for the girls. I saved 1/2 on their admission.
I read books from the library.
Miss Petrie and I did a low cost sewing activity.
I took the girls to the dentist (no co-pay for checkups).
I cut Miss Petrie’s hair.
We ate from the garden (salads, grilled veggies and pesto).
I repurposed shelves for use in Miss Petrie Deux’s closet. I had wanted to buy a small dresser, but this solution works even better for her small room.
Mr. Petrie and I had a date at the local art museum ($3/person).
This coming week has some additional expenses for the coming school year, but we have been saving for them.
Have a great day.
