Frugal Things I Did Last Week
I really work hard to make choices that use what we have and if we spend money, use that money wisely. Here are some frugal choices I made last week.
I wanted to go to the grocery store, but knew I had all the basics and other food, so put it off until this coming week. I know most people don’t like to grocery shop, but I love it. I know all the employees at the store I mainly frequent and even the girls like to grocery shop with me.
I did go to CVS, where I had $10 off in Extra Care Bucks. With that I bought 2 gallons of milk and toilet paper.
I also went to Walgreens to take advantage of a cereal deal. I was able to get about $13 worth of cereal for $6.
I used a Groupon for 1/2 price admission to a playroom for the girls. (saved $7)
I used basil from my garden to make a *rocking* walnut pesto sauce for spaghetti when Mr. Petrie’s sister’s family visited this past weekend.
I made frozen chocolate banana yogurt from our homemade yogurt. I will write about our adventures in frozen yogurt making soon.
I gave myself a pedicure instead of going to the nail salon.
I checked out several library books for myself and the girls.
We ate leftovers for five lunches this past week and it really helped us use up dinner leftovers.
It keeps me honest to keep track of all the ways we saved money. Any tips for me?

I think the library thing has by far been my most useful money saving tactic.
