All Thrifting Leads to Goodwill

April1

Welcome fellow thrifters!  I’m so excited to show you my second-hand deals.  I didn’t purchase everything this past week, because that would be not so frugal, but I did purchase these items recently.  Thanks to Holly for hosting this fun Thursday party. :)

Enjoy my thrifty finds:

I'm pretty sure this is my favorite Goodwill purchase ever. I got this white-noise maker for $1.99 and it keeps my child sleeping. I love it!

When I saw this old-school desk, it reminded me of every elementary school class I had. The industrial green paint is the best part of the desk.

I, uh, I mean Santa, got this for Miss Petrie at GW. It was $7.99. The shower, oven, computer and outdoor lights make noise and light up. This Barbie house folds up.

I've seen makeup tables at the Disney Store for up to $70. This almost-new table was $4.99 at GW.

These three books totaled $5.23 at GW. Lipstick Jihad had a receipt from Borders inside of it; someone had indeed paid $20 for it and it was on SALE!

When I picked up the books this week I noticed Goodwill didn’t have very much overstock from Target.  I guess it comes in cycles, because there was a lot of overstock after Christmas.

Check out all the other great deals at Holly’s blog.  Happy hunting!

Great finds! I bet your daughter has a blast with the Barbie house and the vanity. I love the desk…so nostalgic!

Great finds! I am glad that I am not the only one who gives second hand gifts for Christmas! My DS got one of those Bounce ‘n Spin Zebra’s this Christmas and my sis gave me a used bread maker. I had given her one I found at the flea market a year or 2 before. I am glad she shares my passion for frugality! =)

GW is a great place for teachers to find nominally priced books for their classroom libraries.

Hmmm…I wonder if GW has a gently used tricycle that the, uh, Easter Bunny might bring to Miss Petrie.

I’m so there with giving second-hand gifts. I would want them, why wouldn’t anyone else? Love the desk!

I love Goodwill! I’m lucky to have two great Goodwill Stores to visit. Thankfully both of my daughters also love to go thrifting and watch for me! Life is good!
