Vanilla & Oreo Ice Cream

I made ice cream over the 4th of July weekend. The process was step intensive and occured over two days, but it wasn’t difficult.
I used the Kitchen Aid mixer recipe.
There were 5 cups of heavy cream and half and half in this recipe and 8 egg yolks.
I used chocolate covered Oreo cookies as a mix-in.
The result was custardy in taste and creamy in texture.
