Okay, baby, we’re ready for you.  I know I can’t take on any big projects right now, but I’m trying to maintain the cleanliness of our house.  My dogs are making this process a lot more work!  Fur, barf, blood, spit, food…it never ends!!  I normally find cleaning up after the dogs to be a chore, but now I feel like they’re trying to sabotage my cleaning efforts.  Mr. Petrie thinks I give them way too much credit!

The New and Revised BIG Getting Ready for Baby List

• Organize hall bathroom cabinet
• Organize gift closet
• Take more stuff to Goodwill and the dump
• Dust daily (as the house gets dusty due to three dogs, one kid, no carpet, and lots of New Mexico dirt) I’m working on this daily…
• Bag leaves in the yard
• Make a list of things to pack for the hospital (I can’t pack the bag yet because we need lots of the things that would get packed.)
• Get some more basics at the grocery store, keep the basics updated (milk, coffee, etc.) I’ve gone to the store a few times to keep up with the basics.
• Clean the oven DONE (Can I just say that this is the most disgusting task?  I actually prefer to clean up dog barf to cleaning the oven.  And yes, I cleaned up lots of dog barf this weekend!!)

I read lots of tips online about cleaning the oven using the self-cleaning feature and many suggested that anything plastic be removed from the vicinity of the oven.  We keep our Tupperware in the drawer under the oven, so I took the opportunity to clean the drawer and organize it.
