Enjoying Where We Live
Thanks to Hooked on Houses for hosting Hooked on Fridays and Fifi Flowers for hosting Fashionable Fridays.
We had the most wonderful day taking advantage of some community activities. In the morning we went to a free story time and tea party at the Balloon Museum. Then we were able to wander through the museum and enjoy the interactive exhibits. Since we often see balloons out of our living room window, Miss Petrie has a special affinity for the sport.

Friends in a gondola.

Miss Petrie asked if these men were pirates.

The view from the Balloon Museum is spectacular.
In the afternoon we went to a community pool. This pool was especially wonderful for families with small children because it started at zero inches and increased to 4 feet 6 inches.

More views of the Sandia Mountains.
We have continuously found exciting, interesting activities to do around Albuquerque. I think there is nothing better than enjoying where we live!
A balloon museum? How cool is that! I may have to check out their online shop.
it’s so funny NM just love their hot air balloons! — when I was a kid, my family was on vacation near Taos and we saw a hot air balloon “show” — there were about 100 balloons that all launched about the same time — it was really cool! looks like such a fun day for your fam!
I LOVE that first very fashionable Carmen Miranda balloon!
Haven’t hear of a balloon museum but seeing your pictures, well, makes me wanna be there and enjoy seeing them up close
There’s no doubt Miss Petrie enjoyed this trip.

That pool looks awesome. And I love big balloons….Thanks for sharing!
What lovely pictures-balloons always remind me of a fairytale adventure. I don’t think my kids have ever seen any except on TV-maybe this year I will put “balloon” on my summer to do list. Thanks for the inspiration.
This post is like a breath of fresh spring air!
I love pictures of your little girl…she’s the perfect “poster girl” for our town! Great Pics of the Sandia’s. Liz
My husband loves New Mexico. I’ve never been but we did live in Arizona for a while. I know it’s not the same…
