A Crafting Dilema
I’ve been thinking about two projects and trying to come up with unique, thrifty, and eye-pleasing products. The first project is to create labels for the beer and wine we have brewed at Casa Petrie. Do I make a tag and tie it around the neck of the bottle? Do I create a sleeve and place it over the neck of the bottle? I went to Michaels tonight to look at their stamps and I’m sad to report their selection was really pitiful. I found a couple of stamps in their dollar section, but they were really puny looking! I might have to venture to the always busy Hobby Lobby to get a better stamp selection. I also think free clipart might work, although I haven’t done any crafting with clipart.
The second project revolves around Father’s Day. Any ideas for cards?? All of the cards I’ve seen online look kind of hokey (fishing polls, broken down cars). I’m not kidding! I thought the Martha Stewart site ideas were ok, but I wasn’t blown away.
I’m ready to get started, but I’m drawing a blank. What are your ideas?
I am not sure about the beer labels, I would probably go with one that was most visible and least expensive. Not much help, huh? LOL
Father’s Day Card – Do you have any pictures of your little girl holding on to her Dad’s leg, arms wrapped around his neck, etc…. You could use this photo and use the words, “I think I’ll hang on to you” under the photo. On the inside, maybe a cute little note inside saying saying “cause you rock” or “your’re the best”…. Happy Father’s Day.

Hmmm, I’ll think on the beer label thing – I may be able to brainstorm on that successfully. Cards – well, I go to hallmark, read ‘em and weep. Or laugh. I’m sorry I’m no help on that project. I’m not a card maker, but I personally love cards. Do men even care about them? I think if I sent my dad a fishing lure and a jotted note he’d be just as happy…
Anyhow, as you left a comment on #1, I thought I’d mention this: Today I’ve got Part II of For a Princess (with Part I recapped) – and as it is centered around a celebration, it fits perfectly what with all of the little princesses in their pink tiaras; ) I hope you can come by – I know you’ll enjoy it.

What if you bought those shipping lables and stamped em up and used your computer for text…? And then slap em on the bottles…
