A Bird Inspired Housewarming Gift
My mom and aunt are throwing a housewarming for my aunt’s mother. I wanted to decorate the gift with some fun crafting stuff I picked up at Michael’s in the last couple of weeks: a bird stamp, sage green polka dot ribbon, and metal edged tags. I also have some adorable frame stamps I ordered at a Stampin’ Up card party and I was able to use them to accentuate the bird stamp.

A card made at the last Stampin' Up party

A toffee candle

Soap: I used a frame stamp and the bird stamp over it.

A ceramic potpourri ball I filled with cloves.

An egg planter with thyme seeds.

A bird I painted white.

I hope she likes this "cheep" gift!

I love this idea! Each item is so carefully chosen and each bird is adorable. And I love your play on words, too.

I love those gifts! If she doesn’t like them, tell her to send them my way!
I really like what you did with the candle. Now you have some wheels turning my my head to create my own!

Thanks for the comments, all! I had such fun doing this project. Those dollar bins at Michael’s are awesome!

That candle was 75% off, so it only cost $2.50! I was thrilled to include it in the gift. I’m looking forward to your Linky party, Lindsay.

My mother and all the guests went nuts over your creative gifts. Thank you for being so thoughtful and loving. My mom wants your address, she was so touched. Give Miss Petrie a huge hug and kiss for me, she is so beautiful! I hope to see you soon.
Love,
Aunt Dolores
