Where have these seven months gone??  Miss Petrie Deux can use her body for locomotion now!  Miss PD rolls around to get to objects or people and pivots while sitting up.

She eats blended veggies and drinks water from a sippy cup.  She weighs over 17 pounds.

She slaps her hands when she’s happy.  She growls in imitation of Miss Petrie.  Her babbling is beginning to have noticeable English language sounds.

While she is still teething heavily, no new teeth have appeared.  Her hair has curl and is light brown with a slight reddish tinge.  Her eyes are now hazel.

She is currently at the mommy stage and she gets anxious if I’m not around.

She takes two naps a day and still sleeps through the night, but now she doesn’t nap very well when we are out of the house.  This can certainly throw off her sleep schedule.

I did not know what kind of child Miss PD would be.  She is so different from her sister, but equally wonderful.  It has been joyous to watch her personality emerge.

Miss Petrie Deux is six months old!  She had a big month for development.  She got her first two teeth (the lower central incisors) and she can sit up by herself.  I tried to get pictures of her teeth, but she kept sticking out her tongue before I could snap a pic.  Miss Petrie Deux takes a morning and afternoon nap and sleeps all night.  Teething and developmental stuff has made her crankier than usual, but really she is an amazingly good-natured baby.

She plays hard and she sleeps hard!  We love you, pretty baby.

Miss Petrie Deux is 5 months old!  She is chubby, her hair is starting to come in ruddy and slightly curly, and her eyes are a hazel green color.  She naps every three hours or so during the day.  She smiles, laughs, and screeches loudly when she’s happy.  She loves the water in the tub and in the pool (the couple of times we’ve been).  She sucks her thumb and enjoys sucking our thumbs, too.

She’s 1/3 of a year old now.  I can’t believe how quickly these first four months have flown by.  Miss Petrie Deux makes all kinds of conversational noises, laughs at things she finds funny (like when I let her “ride” our dog, Rufus), and she stays on her tummy with her head up for several minutes.  She’s gone to the zoo, swimming and a baby dance class.  And it appears she is a thumb-sucker.  She’s also a champion drooler, but has yet to sprout a tooth.

Her eyes are a gorgeous mossy green color.  Unfortunately, several pictures we took of her this month have her cocooned in the Ergo carrier while she slept…well, like a baby.

I can’t believe my baby is 3 months old.  She smiles constantly, gasps and chortles when she is happy, and coos when you talk to her.  She’s teething and we expect a tooth any day now.  Most days she takes a morning and afternoon nap and she sleeps through the night.

Miss Petrie Deux seems to have Mr. Petrie’s curly hair.  Her eyes have yet to change from baby gray to their permanent color.  Her legs have fattened up and now have rolls and her knees are dimpled.  She’s awake for several hours at a time now, but she still sleeps well at night.  She loves to look at faces, particularly Miss Petrie’s.

Miss Petrie Deux is one month old!  She smiles periodically, sleeps well at night, eats a lot, enjoys all the attention from mom, dad, and big sister.

Mr. Petrie made the brown blanket Miss Petrie Deux is laying on.  It took him several months since the yarn was incredibly thin, but the blanket is warm, stretchy and very soft.
