We’ve been working on the office this summer. Little by little, it is becoming more stylish and functional. Here are a couple of the new pieces that will make the office work better for us.

This sleek new monitor replaces our beige monstrosity that probably weighed 80 pounds.

Since this room has no overhead light, we put up a pendant light.
I am seriously trying to finish up this room so I can show it to you!
See you tomorrow. :)

Thanks to Between Naps on the Porch for hosting Metamorphosis Monday!
In my effort to better organize and beautify our office, I added pretty scrapbook paper to two bulletin boards. I also painted the frame of one of those boards.
The first board had an unfinished wooden frame. I painted it black.

I used paper that came in my packet of scrapbook paper from Tuesday Morning. I had planned on using the beautiful blue and red flocked paper, but I only had one sheet left. The paper I used has a border of dusty red and light pink polka dots.

I love the Moroccan look of the finished board.

I didn’t do much to the second board. It’s from Marshalls and the frame was black. The detail on the frame is gorgeous.

I thought the cork looked bizarre next to the ornate frame, so I covered it with this glittery striped paper. It is the same paper I used on my Father’s Day cards.

I used the hot glue gun to attach the paper to the cork. I had all of the materials for this project, so there was no out-of-pocket cost for this specific job. I’m slowly working on the office, but very soon I will show you the finished product.
Have a wonderful day!
